Health & Nutrition at different stages of life – 20′s / 30′s / 40′s / 50′s / 60′s
To be healthy at any stage of life a balanced nutritional plan should provide the body with balanced levels of energy, vitamins, minerals, good carbohydrates, plant-based protein, healthy fats and fibre, herbs and antioxidants.
In our 20′s: In our 20’s we often called the freedom years. Even though you may not have had the healthiest of diets, weight gain wasn’t a problem and you could eat whatever you wanted all day long without putting on weight. Not only were you slimmer, you also felt more energetic and healthier than you perhaps doing now. At this age it’s often easier to maintain your weight. In our 30′s: In our 30’s it is a key period for getting a family, working on your career and taking more care of overall wellbeing. Sorry to say but at this stage in life many of us starts to see the first signs of ageing… Find the time to eat a healthy, well balanced diet at this life stage; you will reap the benefits with healthier looking skin, eyes and hair later on.
In our 40′s: In our 40’s self aware and to be in control is taking care of mind and body. You will probable take action over any excess weight for health reasons. Healthy weight in your 40’s dramatically reduces the future risk of a number of common conditions. You may find you need to eat around 200 fewer calories a day to maintain your weight now as your metabolism naturally slogs, increase your intake of fruit, vegetables and wholegrain to support your body and dont forget to train more!
In our 50′s: In our 50’s health niggles may be more noticeable now, but there are benefits too. Swap the cakes for dried fruits. At this stage you need to be more aware of your health. Exercise more to help you with the feeling of depression, stress and tiredness.
In our 60′s: In our 60’s a positive attitude helps men and women in these years stay healthy and happy. In this period we finally tend to be at peach with the aging process. But it is important that we keep on looking after out health. You need to eat healthy; take nutritional supplements and exercises, remember to take it easy.
