ACTING AND PERFORMANCE ART CLASSES in PRETORIA

The Something Magic Theatre Organisation offers an 18-month certificate course in acting and performance arts which consists of:

• a 2-hour intensive practical class per week,
• and 4 hours of Improvisation and Interactive work with the Something Magic performing artists on Saturday mornings (this is optional, but recommended).
• There are 12 theory modules.
• The course starts any time of the year and is the individual’s choice.
• The course curriculum can be adapted to suit the individual’s needs.
• The focus is on performance skills and -techniques that are transferable to all other endeavours and which includes those elements such as poise, diction, projection, confidence, and health on an existential level.

The principal aim of the course is to provide the candidate with a theoretical and practical background of the art of performance, and to prepare him for a career in the Performance Art.

MODULE 9: Stage Technique
MODULE 10: Plays and Interpretation
MODULE 11: The other arts
MODULE 12: Review of the most important components of the course
