    BOS’s vision and mission are Students!

    BOS is a Student Representative Council portfolio of the North-West University’s Potchefstroom Campus. This SRC portfolio is responsible for the interests and development of students on Campus.

    We organize and present the intercampus Enduro Varsity 2009. This is the University’s own Survivor Challenge. This event is based on the Reality TV series, Survivor. This event has been successfully run for the past three years. This will be the first year another university is invited and an intercampus challenge will take place.

    As this is a student initiative, the challenge part takes over the duration of a weekend in March. As would be expected the participants will receive the minimum food during the weekend and competing in various challenges to find the ultimate survivor.

    Sponsorship of a GPS, multi-tools, tent, camp equipment or a voucher for a first price will be appreciated and is needed to make it a success. Any other prices or vouchers will be appreciated.

    The DSTV channel MK will be covering the event and broadcasting will take place in an episode of MK-Campus. This is the leading youth channel in South Africa and thus an enormous viewer count can be expected.

    Both regional papers Beeld and Volksblad will be covering the event in their paper.

    Anyone know where i can find (online) or even find the name of the spade/axe that was issued to the troops back in the 80′s?

    it was made fully out of steel (handle and all), the spade part used to detach after the handle was “scissored” open. it also had a wire cutter when you did that “scissor” action with the handle.

    that thing was a god-send! wish i had kept it when i moved to Canada.
