Different Types Of Industrial Equipment For Floor Care
Floor cleaning is a constant hassle in just about any environment but even more so in industry where specialised industrial equipment is required to make quick work of any mess. There are a wide range of different types of industrial cleaners that are used for different applications in a variety of industry sectors such as manufacturing plants, commercial environments and retail sectors.
First you get the type of equipment that is used to remove dry debris, dust and dirt. These are normally sweepers or vacuums and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The smallest of these kinds of industrial sweepers are used smaller areas and can either be motorised or manually operated. The sweepers can be used both indoors and outside.
Ride-on sweepers are much larger and are only suitable for cleaning larger areas as they will not be able to manoeuvre in smaller spaces. These sweepers have a receptacle where all matter that is picked up by the brush mechanism can be held. The storage capacity of the receptacle varies according to the size of the ride-on sweeper to meet medium to large cleaning requirements. Although ride-on sweepers can be used to clean road surfaces and large outdoor areas such as parking lots they are generally not ideal for outdoor use.
Single disc scrubbers perform the task of cleaning away tougher dirt and grime that has become adhered to the floor surface. This type of industrial equipment also comes in either a manual version or as a ride-on option. The manual version is often seen in commercial and retail environments where constant floor cleaning is necessary. Both the ride-on and manual scrubbers come with an automatic drier function that blows air onto the floor surface to speed up the drying time.
