To gain universal access to HIV treatment, testing, prevention, care and support systems, awareness of HIV must be increased and the stigma reduced surrounding HIV infection. Universal Access is a global commitment to the above and includes not only governments and the UNAIDS, but also society members. The Universal Access to such is a commitment to reach the Millennium Development Goal which has as aim to reverse the spreading of AIDS. This calls for affordable and more extended HIV support and care services. A roadmap has been created for 2011 to record the various preparations by countries to achieve this goal of stopping and reversing HIV infections.

AIDS Care In Developing Countries Must Also Address Related Illnesses
The UNAIDS released a report as far back as 2000 stating various strategies for AIDS care in the developing countries. TB, Candida infections, and Diarrhoea are some of the most prominent illness associated with HIV infections. As such AIDS care must be stepped up to also address the secondary illnesses. AIDS care cannot be limited to medical centre treatment. It should also be extended to include food support, care worker help at homes, and financial as well as counselling support to the family members affected by HIV/AIDS. It is imperative to create a greater understanding of the exact AIDS/HIV care support services required to ensure that reachable targets can be set for the various governments.

AIDS Prevention Strategies Must Be Developed And Supported
Condoms form an essential part in the AIDS prevention programs of governments. The UNAIDS provided 100 000 condoms at the Being Olympic Games. Although condoms may seem elemental, such usage should be a first step towards safe sex and thus prevention of the spreading of AIDS. Shortage of funds, however, may severely hinder AIDS prevention programs from being successful. By means of AIDS prevention programs in Africa, the rate of spreading has already decreased by 25%.It is essential for as many organisations and private companies to share in the financial burden to ensure that AIDS can be eradicated by 2015 worldwide.

AIDS Information Available From UNAIDS
The UNAIDS is actively involved in the monitoring of AIDS/HIV infections around the world, treatment programs available, universal access figures, and success stories. We also provide AIDS information and related information about investment opportunities to prevent the spreading of HIV/AIDS. As such the UNAIDS website should be the first stop when looking for AIDS information. Countries around the world can submit their information, providing a central place for information about progress made against HIV infection. Our website also includes landmark documents, road map for AIDS information and Prevention for 2011, progress reports, and guidelines in fighting the disease on a national and international level.

UNAIDS Humanitarian Guidelines Released In 2009
Humanitarian settings such as refugee camps on the borders of countries are high risk areas for the spreading of HIV. It is essential to set up testing and care services at these humanitarian settings to prevent the outbreak of large scale infections. Some of the points highlighted by the guidelines are that of prevention of mother to child infection, adequate food, protection, sheltering, and education regarding HIV infections. HIV awareness must be increased and adequate care given to sick persons. Water and hygiene conditions in such camps must be addressed in addition to the provision of HIV treatment programs and counselling to the refugees.
