Mandated through the Estate Agency Affairs Act, 112 of 1976, controlling and regulating certain activities of estate agents is the job of the Estate Agency Affairs Board.
- they maintain and promote the standards of conduct of estate agents and regulate their activities
- manage the registration of qualified applications of estate agents
- issue Fidelity Fund Certificates
- manage the educational and examination standards of the estate agents
Their focus is on regulating, protecting, guiding and enhancing the integrity of the real estate profession where integrity, responsibility and excellent service delivery prevail.
