As avid mountain bikers, we all know how amazing the activity of mountain biking is, but we also all know how expensive it can be to maintain and upgrade the old faithful, let alone to buy a new stead.
So why is this amazing way of life so expensive?
The answer is Simple.
The bike shops put a substantial mark-up on bikes and components, this being duly coupled with that of the exchange rate, which in turn makes us sweat before even getting on the saddle.
At Spot - On, we get a kick out of pimping your bike for a really comfy and realistic price that won’t make your bank account ache.
We also know that many bike shops try to push out as many bikes as possible, often at the expense of quality & personal touch. Well, this is what sets us apart - QUALITY work is included in the deal as we are meticulous and aim to spend ‘personal’ time on each bike, limiting ourselves to working on 1 bike a day.
Now for the tip of our spear.
We source our components directly from the supplier, and can in turn guarantee prices that are cheaper than other local shops.
The company was started by a group of avid riders who fell victim to the expenses of the sport one too many times, and we then thought, “Why not ride a bike that is not only reliable, comfy, and good looking, but which is available to the average South African”.
