They first opened in 1964 as an outlet for anthroposophical remedies, as most pharmacies were reluctant to stock products such as Weleda and Wala.
All staff at Weleda Pharmacies are qualified pharmacists, nursing sisters, homeopaths, dieticians or beauticians and they have all been trained in nutrition, vitamin supplementation, homeopathy and herbs. They also have a sound knowledge of conventional therapies and conventional medicine.
Weleda focuses on the person as a whole, tailor-making a prescription which will include nutritional information, exercise, understanding the illness from a mental and emotional perspective and, of course, natural remedies.
Weleda farm is situated in the Hekpoort valley near Hartebeespoort dam. The 25 hectare organic dairy farm, offers self catering accommodation overlooking the well stocked dam with a focus on quality of life. There are two self catering cottages available with large inviting verandahs to enjoy the spectacular mountain views.
