The Wits Writing Centre is for anyone who wants to write better in order to work on a particular piece of writing. They invite you to bring along essays, plans, drafts, practice exam questions and answers and even creative, non-academic writing.
The Wits Writing Centre won’t edit for you…. they listen and help you to put together your ideas and thoughts. Consultants can also focus the session on the language of the paper to point out patterns of mistakes etc.
From its inception in 1999, the Wits Writing Centre has been unique for its inclusion of creative writing and the hosting of book launches and literary events.
The Wits Writing Centre aims to promote networks of collaboration among staff. Their aim is to be a comfortable space for intellectuals to talk, write, and help others to write.
